To cruise... Carnival Dream

This next sailing, might have been the best one yet. The Dream hotel director and crew went above and beyond to make sure we had one of the best experiences onboard so far.

Thanks Vance for the priority Embarkation pass for the press. It makes a HUGE difference when we are hauling several bags of camera eqpt through long security lines.

We embarked from New Orleans for the first time on this cruise which was a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise. The sailing out of Port NOLA to the ocean takes hours, there are scenes from the Bayou going by for hours.. it's quite interesting and one of the only ports that have this very long process to actually make it to the ocean.

As for the New Orleans port, it was crowded, the entrance was limited and had us sitting in traffic for quite a while.

Parking costs at the terminal parking garage was $140 for 7 days, more than any other garage (including Tampa with valet service), we have encountered so far. I would rate the value near the lowest so far because of the higher amount, and difficulty of access.

Cruise stops are:

First, two days at sea

1. Montego Bay, Jamaica

2. Grand Cayman, British Overseas Territory

3. Cozumel, Mexico

and one day at sea to arrive back in New Orleans, LA

Niksa Pelic, Hotel Director, did an outstanding.. OUTSTANDING job making us feel welcome and extending the ships facilities to make this the most enjoyable and comfortable experience to date. Bravo !

Per the invite above, we toured the galley on the Dream. This by far was the most efficient, cleanest facility i have been in for food service.

Gotta love these guys, this is the galley bar, yes, they do all the drinks for the MDR, not the regular bar. Great guys, so fun !

Master Chef spent the better part of 45 minutes with us on this tour, i am very grateful for his visiting with us.

We have an extra special invitation on this trip and we certainly enjoyed visiting with the captain, especially after learning he was transferring to Australia after this sailing. Very special indeed.

Our wait teams were exceptional.

It was Patti and my birthdays on this cruise. We were born in the same month but i am not gonna say what year, LOL

In Cozumel, we did the Isla Pasion' once again, It's a good excursion for the girls so they can lay in the sun, but i explore the island, and i found a few buddies.

Grand Cayman

Montego Bay, Jamaica

I want CCL to know, this cruise and this team were the best we have had. They went out of their way to make our trip the best one yet and we appreciate their efforts in a big way.

ALWAYS Tip your steward team, and wait staff folks, EVEN more so if they did a good job. These kids work very long hours to make your stay a happy one.
