To cruise... Carnival Breeze

Now back to the larger ship, we sail the Breeze on this outing out of Port Canaveral. Parking at PC is $17/day so a 7 day rate is $119. This terminal is one of the few you can not prepay and or reserve your spots. I prefer to have everything paid for and done when we arrive so this small issue makes this port #2 for that reason and there is no valet service like in Tampa.

This will be location 2, for losing my phone in a foreign land. lol.

This is our 2nd holiday cruise and starting a tradition of cruising the weekend after Thanksgiving annually. It really is a wonderful way to stretch the holiday feeling beyond one day of turkey and dressing. The trip is 7 days on the Breeze with 5 fellow travellers making a really great cruise even better with friends.

Our stops on this trip: (Eastern Caribbean)

1. Amber Cove, Dominican Republic

2. St Thomas, US Virgin Islands

3. San Juan, Puerto Rico

4. Grand Turk, part of the British overseas territory, Caicos Islands. Population 3,700 at time of sailing.

Our wait staff on this cruise was really extraordinary: Amnat, Maritess and Joseph. What a great team and they made our trip that much more interesting getting to know them.

Again, as on prior trips, we were free lancing photography for the Miami blogs of over 350,000 subscribers for the particular stops of Puerto Rico and Amber Cove. The forts and beaches didnt let us down.

A new item this cruise was the holiday carol book, happy holidays !

San Juan was a treasure of history and architecture. The lighthouse at Fort Castillo San Felipe Del Morro was phenomenal. The fort itself was fascinating to explore and took up much of our time onshore.
